01 / THE QUESTION

GEO website: when customers ask AI,
does your name show up?

GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) is the practice of getting you into AI answers. SEO used to be about fighting for page 1 of Google. Now customers ask ChatGPT, Gemini or Google AI directly: "which one is good?" Whether you appear in that answer is what a GEO website solves. WKH's "Get You Found" organises your content, business details and citable answers at launch.

02 / THREE ERAS

Traditional website, SEO website, GEO website —
what's the difference?

Traditional websiteSEO websiteGEO website

RiskNobody finds youAI answers steal the clicks — high ranking, no trafficDon't do it = only your competitors appear in AI answers; do it and nobody can guarantee you'll be cited

The 3 don't replace each other — they stack. A GEO website must first be 1 solid SEO website; Google itself says its AI features are built on its core search ranking systems[3].

03 / PLAIN WORDS

In plain words: make AI mention you
when it talks about your industry.

GEO = Generative Engine Optimization, also called AI search optimisation.

SEO was about "getting Google to rank you first". GEO is about "whether ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google AI mentions your name and cites your material when talking about what you do".

For AI to cite you, 3 things must be in place:

  1. It knows who you are — company name, address, services and reviews written as structured data (schema), an ID card AI can read.
  2. It can read your site — clear page structure, a definition sentence in every section, no text locked inside images, plus a site description for AI (llms.txt).
  3. There's something worth citing — concrete answers, numbers, FAQs. AI can't cite "our service is great"; it can cite "sensitive-skin facial, 60 minutes, HKD 680, trial HKD 280".

The biggest difference from SEO: SEO fights for 1 ranking position, GEO fights for 1 sentence in a spoken answer. Rankings can be measured; whether you're in the answer depends on continuous organising and monitoring.

04 / WHY NOW

Not future tense. Present continuous.

  • Over 1 billion

ChatGPT weekly active users (OpenAI, August 2026)[1]. Some of your customers are certainly among them.

  • 43%

Share of Google searches showing AI Overviews, up from 15% a year ago (Similarweb, July 2026)[2]. That means in nearly half of searches, customers get an answer before clicking any link.

  • 93%

Share of Google AI Mode searches with no click to an external website (Semrush, September 2025 data)[4]. The value of "ranking first" is being replaced by "being cited".

Several overseas studies also show that visitors arriving from AI answers convert to enquiries at 2 to 4 times the rate of regular search[7] — because AI has already filtered and explained things for them before they arrive. (Overseas data; no Hong Kong figures yet; for reference only.)

In Hong Kong: Gemini officially opened to all Hong Kong users in March 2026[8]; the Productivity Council has partnered with Google and Microsoft to run AI courses for SMEs[9]. Customer search habits are shifting, while most SME websites are still written for the Google of 10 years ago.

05 / ONBOARDING WORK

What "Get You Found" actually delivers at launch.

All included in HKD 6,000 · 3-page website · 3 AI Employees to get you live, completed during launch onboarding.

  • Complete title / description / canonical / og on every page
  • Every service-page section written "definition sentence first, concrete number last"
  • Business data clean-up — verify services, prices, address, opening hours and reviews so the website, Google Business Profile and social platforms all say the same thing
  • FAQ / answer blocks — 3-5 questions customers actually ask AI, written as answers AI can cite
  • "Does AI mention you today" baseline brief — ask mainstream AI 1 set of questions relevant to your business and record whether you are mentioned and which competitors are

Not included: buying ads, buying backlinks.

06 / THREE SHOPS

How do Hong Kong SMEs do GEO? 3 scenarios

Beauty salon (sensitive-skin treatments)

Customer asks AI: "Which Tsim Sha Tsui salon is good for sensitive-skin facials, and roughly how much?"

What "Get You Found" did: rewrote the service page into "treatment name + duration + price + suitable skin type" definition sentences; added the FAQ "will sensitive skin turn red afterwards"; aligned Google Business Profile prices with the website.

Goal: when AI answers this question, it has enough concrete data to cite you rather than a competitor.

Professional services (accounting / law firm / consultancy)

Customer asks AI: "After setting up a limited company in Hong Kong, what tax do I file in year 1, and which professional should I look for?"

What "Get You Found" did: wrote 1 set of "process + timeline + fee range" FAQs; added professional qualifications and sameAs (LinkedIn, company registry) to the Organization schema; 1 short explainer article.

Goal: when AI answers process questions, it uses your explanation as the source and your name appears with it.

Retail (online store + physical shop)

Customer asks AI: "Where in Hong Kong can I buy brand XX, and is there a physical shop to try it?"

What "Get You Found" did: complete Product / LocalBusiness schema; consistent wording for shop address, opening hours and stock status; FAQ "can I collect in store".

Goal: when AI recommends where to buy, both your shop and online store are citable options.

What the 3 scenarios share: AI search optimisation isn't about "writing more keywords", it's about "saying clearly who you are, what you do and how much", so AI is confident enough to cite you. FAQ

Before GEO work starts, a few questions answered.

What's the difference between GEO and SEO? Do I need both?

Both — they stack, it's not either/or. SEO fights for Google rankings; GEO fights for whether you appear in AI answers. A GEO website must first be 1 technically healthy SEO website. WKH includes basic technical SEO when building the site; "Get You Found" handles content and data organisation during launch onboarding.

My shop is tiny. Will AI care about me?

Yes. AI citations don't depend on company size; they depend on how clear your data is. 1 small shop that clearly states "what we do, how much, where, what customers say" beats 1 big company whose website hasn't been updated in 5 years.

Is "Get You Found" a human or an AI?

It's an AI Employee, set up, monitored and reviewed by the WKH team. The baseline brief is checked by a human before it goes out. You can WhatsApp a real person any time with questions.

How long until I see results?

A reasonable expectation is 3 to 6 months before your information starts appearing in AI answers. The onboarding period is mainly about groundwork: business data, schema, FAQs. We do not promise any timeline or number of citations.

I already have a website. Can I get just "Get You Found"?

Let's talk. Start with a free check-up to see whether your existing site's technical foundation is readable enough for AI; if so, we onboard directly, if not, we fix that first. Chat with us on WhatsApp.
