網店平台比較 2026:Shopify vs Shopline vs WooCommerce vs Wix eCommerce(香港中小企)

Short answer: Hong Kong online shops have four mainstream options: Shopify (strongest international ecosystem, most apps, suited to anyone planning to sell overseas), Shopline (best Hong Kong / Asia localisation, with Chinese support and local payments covered), WooCommerce (WordPress ecosystem, the most freedom but you carry the maintenance yourself), and Wix eCommerce (easiest to pick up, suited to lightweight shops with few SKUs). All pricing is as published on the platforms' official websites (October 2026). The cost of choosing the wrong platform isn't the monthly fee — it's the move: migrating products, orders and member data can easily cost more than whatever you saved.

The four-platform comparison table

Scalability Largest app-store ecosystem Full Asian feature set; fewer international apps Theoretically unlimited Limited, lightweight by design

Best for Overseas sales, heavy marketing automation Online shops focused on the Hong Kong market Technical resources in-house, content-led SEO Few SKUs, lightweight market testing

A note on how we compare: all four platforms have plenty of success stories in Hong Kong. This article compares characteristics and fit, not rankings.

Three questions before choosing a platform

1. Where are your customers? Mainly local Hong Kong → local payment and logistics integration is the lifeline, and a localised platform like Shopline has the edge. Planning to sell overseas → Shopify's multi-currency and international logistics ecosystem is hard to replace.

2. Will you rely on content to win customers? If you plan to grow traffic through a blog or SEO, WooCommerce (on a WordPress base) offers the strongest content capability and the most GEO freedom: llms.txt, schema — all under your control. For how to set up for AI search, see Make your site readable to AI: the 7-point checklist.

3. Who carries the maintenance? WooCommerce's freedom is bought with maintenance responsibility: plugin updates, security and backups are yours. With no technical staff, be honest and go SaaS (Shopify / Shopline / Wix). For how the three maintenance routes add up, see Website maintenance: DIY vs outsource vs monthly plan.

The two most common traps for Hong Kong online shops

Trap one: buying a heavyweight package during the trial phase. A dozen or so SKUs, market not yet validated, and you've signed a full-featured annual contract. During the trial phase a lightweight option (Wix eCom or a platform's entry plan) is plenty — upgrade once you've validated demand.

Trap two: counting only the monthly fee, not transaction costs. Payment processing structures differ between platforms, and at higher order volumes transaction-related costs can easily outweigh the gap in monthly fees. Run the numbers using your projected order volume — don't just compare list prices.

Platform selection for corporate sites (not online shops) is a separate topic — see Wix vs WordPress vs bespoke.

Platform features and pricing are as published on each platform's official website (checked October 2026).

Frequently asked questions

Shopify or Shopline — how do I choose?

One question settles it: will you sell outside Hong Kong within 3 years? Yes → Shopify's ecosystem is worth the investment. No → Shopline's local payments, logistics and Chinese support make day-to-day operations far smoother. Pricing on both sides is per their official websites (October 2026); the structures are similar and shouldn't be the deciding factor.

Can I move platforms later?

Yes, but at a cost: product data moves; order history, member accounts, URL structure and accumulated SEO often don't move in full. That's why the platform decision deserves an extra week of thought at the start.

I'm taking orders through IG Shop — do I still need an online shop?

IG is a traffic source, not an asset. One algorithm change or one account problem and the whole business is gone. An online shop (together with a WhatsApp flow) is the customer-acquisition system you actually control. See You have IG and WhatsApp — why do you still need a website?.
